Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On September 29, 2025, Christopher Winters, General Counsel and Secretary of Appian Corporation (the “Company”), informed the Company of his plan to retire from the Company during the Company’s fourth fiscal quarter 2025, which ends December 31, 2025. In the meantime, Mr. Winters will continue in his current role at the Company through the next meeting of the Appian Board of Directors on November 4, 2025, and will assist the Company in the transition to his successor.
