Grants have provided nearly $6.5 million to date for STEM education and research programs, reaching more than 300,000 students nationwide

Constellation (NASDAQ:CEG), the nation's largest producer of emissions-free energy and a leading supplier of energy products and services, is now accepting applications for its 2025 E2 Energy to Educate grant program, which provides funding for student projects focusing on energy innovation. Educators and students in grades six through 12 can apply for program grants of up to $25,000, and those in two- and four-year colleges can apply for grants of up to $50,000. The deadline for applications is Oct. 1, 2025.

In 2024, Joliet Junior College used Energy to Educate grant funding from Constellation to establish scholarships for students enrolled in its Process Control Instrumentation Technology and Electrical/Electronic Automated Systems programs.

In 2024, Joliet Junior College used Energy to Educate grant funding from Constellation to establish scholarships for students enrolled in its Process Control Instrumentation Technology and Electrical/Electronic Automated Systems programs.

"Solving the energy challenges of tomorrow starts with developing the next generation of energy and STEM leaders," Kathleen Barrón, executive vice president and chief strategy and growth officer, Constellation. "Entering its 16th year, Energy to Educate has supported tens of thousands of students and teachers who bring real passion, fresh ideas and genuine curiosity to STEM learning. We're eager to see and support the projects they've dreamt up this year."

The E2 program granted $500,000 across 20 projects and reached nearly 12,000 students nationwide in 2024. Last year's selected projects, which spanned eight states, included a hydrogen fuel cell training program, mobile STEM labs, wind and solar energy design build competitions and initiatives focused on preparing youth for careers in STEM. To date, the grant program has provided nearly $6.5 million for research and education projects that have empowered more than 300,000 students to explore STEM fields.

Joliet Junior College in Illinois used 2024 E2 grant funding to create the Constellation Rising Stars Endowed Scholarship, the first scholarship established for low-income students enrolled in the college's Process Control Instrumentation Technology (PCIT) and Electrical/Electronic Automated Systems (EEAS) programs.

"With support from Constellation, our Rising Stars Scholarship is already transforming lives and futures," said Amanda Quinn, Joliet Junior College's director of Institutional Advancement. "This fall, five students will receive financial support to pursue their education and career goals in our PCIT and EEAS programs – two fields that are essential to the energy and manufacturing sector. These students are driven, determined, and rising stars in the technical trades. Constellation's investment is not only easing financial burdens, it's developing tomorrow's energy leaders, today."

To be eligible for E2 funding, applications must align with the following energy innovation themes:

    • Access in Energy: How can we empower and engage underserved groups in the energy sector, and inspire students from all socioeconomic groups to pursue STEM and energy careers? Projects showcase effective strategies to support increased access to good-paying careers in the energy industry, and to deliver clean energy solutions to underserved communities. Projects may also address inclusion of economically disadvantaged communities in the energy transition.
    • Sustainability Amidst Growing Energy Needs: As global energy consumption rises, the quest for sustainable solutions becomes increasingly critical. Innovations in electrification, transportation and artificial intelligence are poised to revolutionize energy usage in homes and communities and can help address climate change. Projects show the enhancement of existing products or new technologies for a cleaner energy future, and how we can pave the way for a more sustainable world through decarbonization and energy-efficient choices. Projects may also showcase artificial intelligence as a pivotal ally in both pioneering new advancements and refining existing technologies.
    • Nuclear Technology & Clean Energy: How can we harness the power of nuclear technology and other forms of emissions-free generation to address climate change, using innovative and cutting-edge solutions, such as advanced nuclear, emissions-free energy generation systems, and smart energy storage devices? Projects should show how they can create positive impacts for society, economy, and environment, and how they can collaborate with various stakeholders, such as businesses, schools, governments and communities, to scale up their solutions and pilot programs.

Grant recipients are announced each year in November during American Education Week (Nov. 17-21, 2025). To learn more about the program and application criteria, visit the Community section of constellationenergy.com.

In 2024, Constellation's combined company, foundation and employee giving totaled $20 million and supported more than 4,100 nonprofit organizations. Learn more by visiting the Powering Communities section on constellationenergy.com.
