It was formerly known as Eaton Vance Insured Municipal Bond Fund. Eaton Vance Municipal Bond Fund was founded in 2002 and is based in Boston, Massachusetts.

The firm also provides debt capital to middle market companies for acquisitions, management buyouts, growth financings, recapitalizations and refinancing.
