Counts cover press releases distributed over the major newswires (Business Wire, PR Newswire, GlobeNewswire, Accesswire, Newsfile and others) that Quantisnow ingests in real time. SEC filings, FDA items and analyst ratings are excluded.
Counts are distinct Quantisnow wire items, bucketed by the calendar month (UTC) in which Quantisnow first received them. Each item carries one event category assigned by our parsers at ingest; an item is never counted in two categories.
Figures are recomputed daily from the Quantisnow event database. The current month is marked as month to date until it closes; closed months are recomputed for a few days after month end to pick up late filings, then stay fixed.
