(b)On November 29, 2022, Richard P. Smiley notified Amplify Energy Corp. (the “Company”) of his intent to retire and resign from his current position as Senior Vice President, Operations. Mr. Smiley intends to remain in his role at the Company to assist with an orderly transition of his responsibilities. Mr. Smiley’s decision to retire stems solely from personal reasons and did not result from any disagreement with the Company or any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.
