Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On April 29, 2022, Mark Weinswig, the Chief Financial Officer of Avinger, Inc. (the “Company”), provided notice to the Company of his resignation as Chief Financial Officer of the Company effective end-of-day May 12, 2022. As the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Weinswig served as the Company’s Principal Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. Weinswig did not resign as a result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s financial reporting or accounting policies, procedures, estimates, or judgments.
