New integration will help employees connect their pay to Cash App during direct deposit election, supporting Cash App’s broader strategy to serve as the money app for modern earners

Cash App today announced a new partnership with Workday that will make it easier for eligible employees in the U.S. to select Cash App as their direct deposit destination through Workday’s Enhanced Direct Deposit experience.

As of October 1, Cash App will appear as a direct deposit option within Workday’s enhanced direct deposit election experience, helping employees quickly and securely route their paycheck into Cash App. Workday supports millions of employees across the U.S., giving Cash App an opportunity to meet customers at one of the most important moments in their financial lives: when and how they get paid.

Cash App’s Modern Earner research shows that nationally only 65% of adult Modern Earners - freelancers, side-hustlers, content creators, and gig workers - receive a traditional ACH direct deposit to any bank account, underscoring how many people are managing income across multiple sources and platforms.¹ By making it easier to route paycheck deposits into Cash App, the Workday integration helps Modern Earners manage their income streams in one place.
