Explanation of Responses:

1. On September 11, 2024, the Reporting Person exchanged 96,779 Class B Units of StepStone Group LP (the "Partnership"). The Issuer elected to settle the exchange in cash for $49.48 per unit using the proceeds of a secondary offering organized by the Issuer. In connection with the exchange, 96,779 shares of Class B Common Stock were automatically redeemed and cancelled.

2. The Class B Units of the Partnership are exchangeable, on a one-for-one basis, for shares of Class A Common Stock of the Issuer. Upon exchange of a Class B Unit, the corresponding share of Class B Common Stock will be automatically redeemed and cancelled.
