Explanation of Responses:

1. The common shares of beneficial interest (the "Common Shares") were granted to the Reporting Person as the Company's Chief Operating Officer, under the Ellington Credit Company 2023 Equity Incentive Plan. 11,687 of the Common Shares will vest, subject to certain limitations, on December 12, 2025, and the remaining 12,659 of the Common Shares will vest, subject to certain limitations, on December 12, 2026.

2. 5,020 of these Common Shares will vest, subject to certain limitations, on December 14, 2025.
