MVB Bank, Inc., a subsidiary of MVB Financial Corp. (NASDAQ:MVBF), has selected Bretton AI to deliver AI-native Managed Services for their back-office operations. A dedicated U.S.-based Bretton team will deliver outcomes, utilizing the Bretton AI platform, in the form of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) transaction monitoring and Know Your Customer (KYC) completed alerts and cases in line with MVB's policies and risk framework.

Bretton's outcome-based pricing reinforces this: fees tie to completed work, not analyst hours, so MVB adds capacity without adding headcount-driven costs.

Market Context

The agreement follows the launch of Bretton AI Managed Services, an AI-native alternative to the traditional, headcount-based compliance outsourcing. The offering combines the Bretton AI platform with a dedicated U.S.-based operations team and outcome-based pricing. Rick Shooman, who has 25 years of experience building and advising financial crime programs inside banks and across the industry, leads the Services business. MVB adds to the growing set of banks and Fintechs moving their back-office operations to Bretton AI Managed Services.

The agreement also comes as FinCEN and federal regulators consider proposed changes to AML and CFT program requirements that place greater emphasis on risk-based effectiveness and the responsible use of modern technology.
