Explanation of Responses:

1. Shares acquired under the Eastern Company director's fee program pursuant to rule 16b3(d). The price used to determine the number of shares is the price of the shares on 7/14/2024.

2. Mr. DiSanto has a pecuniary interest in the shares held by Ancora Catalyst Fund LP by virtue of him position as Chairman and CEO of Ancora Alternatives LLC, the General Partner of the Fund.

3. Mr. DiSanto has a pecuniary interest in the shares held by Ancora Merlin Fund LP by virtue of him position as Chairman and CEO of Ancora Alternatives LLC, the General Partner of the Fund.
