Item 8.01. Other Events.

On September 15, 2026, the Board of Directors of D.R. Horton, Inc. (the “Company”) authorized the repurchase of an additional $5.0 billion of the Company’s common stock, with no expiration date. At September 15, 2026, the Company had approximately $53 million remaining under its prior stock repurchase authorization. The Company now expects its total fiscal 2026 repurchases of common stock to be at least $3.25 billion.
