MIAMI, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Innovative Eyewear, Inc. ("Innovative Eyewear" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: LUCY; LUCYW), the developer & manufacturer of smart eyewear under the Lucyd®, Lucyd Armor®, Reebok®, Eddie Bauer®, and Nautica® brands, is pleased to announce the launch of the Lucyd Aero™ smart eyewear collection. Lucyd Aero delivers the fashion-forward design, weight, and cost of traditional eyeglasses while providing a full suite of AI and communication features.

Lucyd Aero is a new collection of smartglasses from Innovative Eyewear under their Lucyd brand. The frames have the following features, which the Company believes will make it its most disruptive and exciting collection yet:

All frames in the collection weigh between 1-1.2 oz, making them one of the lightest smartglass collection currently available from a US provider. The Aero Lark style is the lightest at 1oz (28 gm), lighter than most other smartglasses on the US market and on par with many traditional frames. Weight is a proxy for comfort in eyewear, so the Company believes it is also its most comfortable collection to date, and perfect for all-day wear.
The frames are the first Lucyd collection to have no visible buttons, switches, or exterior lights on the frame, making them look just like normal eyewear. Two highly responsive, invisible touchpads allow the user to control the frame. The Company views this discreet appearance as an important step toward normalizing smart eyewear in optical channels and daily use.
The glasses are camera-free, are not always listening like some other brands, and are activated only via the touchpads, for a privacy-first experience.
Connection to the Lucyd app offers numerous features including free, private multi-AI functionality, with hands-free access to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini; public and private Walkie features; custom Newscasts; and powerful Translation features both locally and over calls.
The frames will launch at $149 MSRP, a price that is accessible to almost all eyeglass wearers.

Harrison Gross, CEO of Innovative Eyewear, said, "Mass market adoption of smartglasses is at hand with our Lucyd Aero collection. For the first time ever, the Lucyd team has completely eliminated all costs of switching from traditional eyewear to smart. Lucyd Aero is truly an extraordinary frame because it looks ordinary; we don't believe any smartglasses before it have come this close to matching the look and feel of traditional eyewear, while providing extensive smart features such as calls, on-demand news, and instant AI access. We believe the future of eyewear is smart, and now I can say the future of smart eyewear is here: we have smart frames that are a genuine end-to-end upgrade over traditional glasses, without compromising style, comfort, price, or privacy. There is no good reason to buy a traditional pair of glasses anymore; now that Lucyd Aero is available, it simply does more in the same package."

Dibby Bartlett, director of the Company and former President of the Opticians Association of America, said, "Fit and comfort determine whether a patient actually wears their glasses all day. With Lucyd Aero, the Company has delivered smart frames that rival traditional eyewear in weight and appearance, which I believe removes one of the biggest barriers opticians face when introducing smart eyewear to patients. This is the kind of collection the optical industry has been waiting for."

The Aero collection is available now, exclusively at Lucyd.co.
