Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On March 9, 2023, Tara French, Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of Northfield Bancorp, Inc. (the “Bancorp”) and Northfield Bank (the “Bank”), the wholly owned subsidiary of the Bancorp (collectively, the “Company”), notified the Company that she will be retiring on or before June 30, 2023. The Company is in the process of evaluating its reporting structures and developing a transition plan for Ms. French’s role and responsibilities.

No new compensatory arrangements have been entered into with Ms. French in connection with her notification.
