Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

On August 31, 2022, Director John A. Karas announced that he was resigning from the Board of Riverview Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”), and its financial institution subsidiary, Riverview Community Bank (the “Bank”) effective August 31, 2022. In connection with his announcement of retirement, Mr. Karas did not cite any disagreements with the Company pertaining to the Company’s operations, policies or practices. Mr. Karas served as a Director of the Company and the Bank since 2017 and as a member of the Audit Committee. The Company has appointed Mr. Gerald L. Nies to serve as a member of the Audit Committee.
