The AI platform for physical operations records 30% year-over-year ARR growth, setting quarterly record for new $1 million-plus ARR customers

Samsara Inc. (NYSE:IOT), the pioneer of the Connected Operations® Platform, today reported Q2 FY27 results showing that large organizations are increasingly standardizing on Samsara across their vehicles, equipment, sites and frontline workflows. The company crossed $2.1 billion in annual recurring revenue and added 242 $100,000-plus ARR customers and 20 $1 million-plus ARR customers, both quarterly records.

Additional highlights include:

$2.1 billion in ARR, up 30% year over year
$134 million in net new ARR, up 28% year over year
ARR from $100,000-plus ARR customers accelerated for the fourth consecutive quarter
ARR from $1 million-plus ARR customers surpassed $500 million, growing more than 50% year over year for the third consecutive quarter
Emerging products contributed more than 20% of net new ACV for the third consecutive quarter
Fourth consecutive quarter of GAAP EPS profitability

The industries Samsara serves—including transportation, field services, manufacturing, construction, energy, government and more—represent more than 40% of global GDP. Across them, vehicles, equipment, sites and frontline work often run through disconnected systems and manual processes. As AI moves beyond digital workflows and into real-world operations, its value depends on live operational context, intelligence at the edge, and the ability to take action. Large organizations are responding by consolidating their physical operations on platforms like Samsara that can bring those capabilities together.

That shift is visible in both the scale and depth of Samsara’s enterprise relationships. Among customers with more than $100,000 in ARR, 96% subscribe to at least two products and 72% subscribe to at least three products, demonstrating how deployments expand from individual use cases into a mission-critical system of action. Large customer wins in Q2 included APi Group, a global provider of safety, security and specialty services, and Sonepar, the world’s largest business-to-business distributor of electrical products, both examples of organizations adopting multiple Samsara products.

Customer expansions demonstrate how those relationships deepen over time. One of the five largest U.S. cities expanded from a single division to a multidepartment deployment spanning areas like fire, parks, public works and transit. The city added AI Multicam and Connected Asset Maintenance and deployed Ground Intelligence across 7,600 lane miles.

Additionally, a leading heavy civil and general contracting company expanded its use of Samsara after an AI Dash Cam pilot produced an observed 83% reduction in safety events, including 88% less time spent speeding and 95% less distracted driving. The company, which spends $80 – $100 million annually on maintenance alone, is also using Samsara to better manage asset utilization and maintenance.

Samsara extended its Physical AI capabilities in Q2 with products that use live operational data, edge intelligence and agents to see, understand and act across shipments, equipment, safety and frontline work. At Beyond in June, the company introduced:

Tracking Label: A single-use Bluetooth smart label that gives operators near-real-time visibility into shipments across carriers, powered by the Samsara Network
Shipment Center: An AI-powered command center where customers can ask questions in plain language, identify deliveries at risk and receive recommended actions across their shipment network
AI Agents for Safety, Maintenance and Dispatch: Agents that automate multistep work such as warranty recovery, coaching workflows and back-office dispatch tasks, with the ability to build, customize and deploy agents for company-specific use cases
Voice Agents through the AI Dash Cam: Two-Way Voice closes the gap between a manager or Agent detecting a risk and a driver hearing about it. Agents can proactively alert drivers to geofence-based risks like speed limit changes, parking restrictions, and towing zones, and managers can reach drivers instantly when conditions change.
AI Multicam detections: Rear Collision Warning and Vehicle in Blind Spot Detection, which process camera feeds on the edge to alert workers to hazards in the moment
Bird’s Eye View: A configurable, top-down 360-degree view of a vehicle and its surroundings that gives drivers greater situational awareness during high-risk maneuvers such as reversing and navigating crowded yards or job sites

Customer adoption of some of Samsara’s latest AI features increased more than fourfold in the last two months. Every deployment strengthens the system: Over the past year, customers digitized 340 million workflows and drove 105 billion miles on the platform. Samsara now collects more than 30 trillion data points annually, up more than 40% year over year. Generated by sensors operating in the physical world rather than drawn from publicly available sources, this proprietary data gives Samsara’s AI the operational context to surface insights, automate workflows and drive actions that make operations safer and more efficient.

Q2 reflects two reinforcing shifts: Large organizations are standardizing their physical operations on Samsara, while AI is moving from digital workflows into the real world. As customers bring more assets, teams and workflows onto the platform, each deployment adds operational context that makes Samsara’s AI more capable and the platform more valuable.
