Explanation of Responses:

1. The Reporting Person was granted Restricted Stock Units that will vest, subject to the individual continuing to serve as a member of the board of directors of Enzo Biochem, Inc., in two equal annual instalments, beginning on April 27, 2023.

2. The stock options have a five-year term. Fifty percent of the stock options have vested, and the remaining fifty percent will vest on January 11, 2023.
