Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On March 17, 2021, Best Buy Co., Inc. (the “Company” or “registrant”) announced that Whit Alexander will be stepping down as the Company’s Chief Strategy Officer effective on March 18, 2021. Mr. Alexander will be employed with the Company through June 1, 2021, in an advisory capacity to support the transition of his responsibilities to other members of the executive leadership team. Upon his departure, Mr. Alexander will receive standard severance benefits under the registrant’s ERISA plan.
