Item 5.02

Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On September 21, 2023, Paul A. Stone informed IDEAYA Biosciences, Inc. (the “Company”), of his voluntary resignation from his position as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Stone’s resignation will be effective as of November 10, 2023, which the Company expects to be after the completion of the filing of the Company’s Form 10-Q for the third quarter. Mr. Stone resigned to pursue other business opportunities and his resignation is not related to any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.

Andres Ruiz Briseno, Senior Vice President, Head of Finance and Investor Relations, remains principal accounting officer for the Company and will continue to lead the finance and investor relations functions at the Company.
