We cordially invite you to attend the 2022 annual meeting of shareholders of PerkinElmer, Inc. to be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. at our corporate offices located at 940 Winter Street, Waltham, Massachusetts. Due to the continued health and safety considerations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to conducting the annual meeting on an in-person basis, we will also be conducting the annual meeting on a virtual basis in what is referred to as a hybrid meeting format. To promote the health and safety of our shareholders, directors and employees, we encourage you to attend on a virtual basis. Please note that in-person attendance will require compliance with any then-applicable governmental requirements or recommendations, as well as facility requirements for our corporate offices.

The attached notice of annual meeting and proxy statement contains information about matters to be considered at the annual meeting. As described in those materials, you are entitled to participate in the annual meeting either by attending in person or via live webcast at www.virtualshareholdermeeting.com/PKI2022 if you were a shareholder as of the close of business on February 28, 2022, the record date for the annual meeting, or hold a legal proxy for the meeting provided by your broker, bank or nominee. To vote electronically and submit questions through the virtual portion of the annual meeting, you must enter the control number included on your proxy card, voting instruction form or notice. On or about March 9^th, we mailed to our shareholders of record, other than those who previously requested e-mail or paper delivery of proxy materials, a notice of Internet availability containing their control number, instructions on how to access our 2022 proxy statement and 2021 annual report to shareholders through the Internet, and how to vote through the Internet. Beneficial owners received a similar notice from their broker, bank or other nominee.

Your vote is important regardless of the number of shares you own. Whether or not you plan to attend the meeting, either in person or on a virtual basis, I hope you will review carefully the attached proxy materials and vote as soon as possible.
