DENVER, Aug. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- SM Energy Company (the "Company" or "SM") (NYSE:SM) today announced that it has instructed the trustee under its 6.625% Senior Notes due 2027 (the "2027 Senior Notes") to issue a notice of full redemption at par of the $417 million aggregate principal amount outstanding, plus accrued and unpaid interest, to the holders of the 2027 Senior Notes (the "Redemption"). The Company intends to redeem the 2027 Senior Notes in full on September 4, 2026, using cash on hand. Following the Redemption, the Company will have no remaining Senior Notes maturities until mid-2028.
