Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

As previously announced, Unum Group (the “Company”) will hold its 2023 outlook meeting in New York City on February 23, 2023, which will be simulcast in a listen-only webcast on the Company's website (unumgroup.com) and will include an accompanying slide presentation. The slide presentation to be delivered during the meeting is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.

Item 8.01 Other Events.

The Board of Directors of the Company has approved an increase in the amount of shares of common stock authorized for repurchase under the Company's previously announced share repurchase program for 2023. The Company is now authorized to repurchase up to $250 million of its common stock through December 31, 2023.
