Item 8.01 Other Events.

On June 22, 2022, VBI Vaccines Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release reporting that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted Orphan Drug Designation for VBI-1901, a bivalent gB/pp65 immunotherapeutic vaccine candidate for the treatment of glioblastoma. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference herein.
