Other Events.

On August 7, 2026, Waste Connections, Inc. (“Waste Connections” or the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the approval by the Toronto Stock Exchange for the annual renewal of its normal course issuer bid (the “NCIB”) for potential share repurchases. The renewal will follow on the conclusion of the Company’s current NCIB expiring August 11, 2026. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and is incorporated herein by reference.
