Explanation of Responses:

1. Shares were surrendered for taxes in connection with vesting of Restricted Stock Units granted March 1, 2023.

2. All shares previously held directly by the reporting person and his spouse were transferred into a family trust.

3. Restricted Stock Units granted on March 1, 2024, pursuant to the Amended & Restated 2017 Viad Corp Omnibus Incentive Plan, and will vest in three equal tranches on each of March 1, 2025, March 1, 2026, and March 1, 2027.

4. This number includes 9,867 common shares that vested on March 1, 2024, all of which were transferred to a family trust.

5. Between February 2024 and March 2024, the reporting person acquired 40.1572 shares of VVI common stock under the Viad Corp 401(k) plan.
