Explanation of Responses:

1. Shares were surrendered for taxes in connection with vesting of Restricted Stock Units granted February 23, 2021.

2. Shares were surrendered for taxes in connection with vesting of Restricted Stock Units granted February 23, 2022.

3. Shares were surrendered for taxes in connection with vesting of Restricted Stock granted February 25, 2020.

4. This number includes 1,783 common shares that vested on February 23, 2023, and 1,253 common shares that vested on February 25, 2023, all of which were transferred to a family trust.

5. Between February 2022 and February 2023, the reporting person acquired 385.5847 shares of VVI common stock under the Viad Corp 401(k) plan.
