Hard to wrap my mind around what we just announced. It was not a decision we took lightly and I am convinced we are stronger as a result. WaFd has been more than a job for me for the last 25 years… it is my family. The team of bankers at WaFd are wonderful and authentic. This partnership with EverBank is a win for our team, for our clients and for our shareholders. The slide below says it all - from an investment perspective. What it doesn’t capture is the ethos of who WaFd Bank is and how well we are going to mesh with the EverBank team.
