Quickstart: set up Quantisnow in 5 minutes

You can go from no account to working alerts in about 5 minutes. Create a free account, open the live feed, follow the tickers you care about, choose which kinds of news should alert you, and then turn on delivery channels with Plus.

Step 1: Create a free account

1. Go to /signup.
2. Enter your email and a password of at least 8 characters.
3. Check your inbox for a 6-digit code and enter it in the Verification code field.
4. You are signed in. Sessions stay signed in for up to 30 days.

If the code does not arrive, check your spam folder. More on accounts in Account and security.

Step 2: Open the live feed

1. Go to /news. It opens on the Press Releases feed.
2. Use the chips along the top (Press, Analyst, Insider, Buys, SEC, FDA, Financials) to switch feeds. Select more than one chip to combine them.
3. Click any item to open it, then Read full story for the full page or Original source for the filing or release itself.

On a free account the feed runs on a 3-minute delay. See Live news feed for every feed and option.

Step 3: Follow your tickers

1. Go to /follows.
2. Type in the Search ticker or name… box and pick a result marked + Follow.
3. Repeat for every company on your watchlist. There is no limit.

You can also press the Follow button on any company page, for example /company/AAPL. See Following tickers.

Step 4: Set alert rules for each ticker

1. On /follows, click Alerts off (or Alerts on) next to a ticker.
2. Under Categories, switch on the kinds of news you want: Press releases, Insider trading, SEC filings, FDA, Analyst ratings, Market insights.
3. Optionally switch on Important only to skip items that are not flagged as important.

Categories can be set on any account. Details in Alerts.

Step 5: Upgrade to Plus for delivery

Email, push and webhook delivery are Plus features. Plus is $59.99 per month, billed monthly, with no free trial, and it also makes the feed real time.

1. Go to /pricing and subscribe. Promo codes are accepted at checkout.
2. Back on /follows, open a ticker's alert menu and switch on Email, Push and/or Webhook under Channels.
3. Go to /alerters and click Send test email to confirm email delivery.

Step 6: Install the mobile app for push

1. Install the Quantisnow mobile app on your phone.
2. Sign in with the same account. Your device registers for push automatically and appears under Push on /alerters.
3. Click Send test push next to the device.
4. Set notification hours and urgency inside the app.

Step 7 (optional): Add a webhook

1. On /alerters, click + Add webhook.
2. Paste an HTTPS URL that accepts JSON POST requests and click Create.
3. Click Send test to deliver a sample payload.

FAQ

Do I need Plus to follow tickers?

No. Any free account can follow unlimited tickers and set alert categories. Plus is needed only to deliver alerts by email, push or webhook.

What are the password requirements?

Your password must be at least 8 characters. After you sign up, Quantisnow emails a 6-digit code to confirm your address.

Is there a free trial of Plus?

No. Plus is $59.99 per month with no free trial, and you can cancel any time in Settings under Billing.

How do I get alerts on my phone?

Subscribe to Plus, install the Quantisnow mobile app and sign in, then switch on the Push channel for the tickers you follow.
