How the Quantisnow /earnings, /dividends, /insiders, /ipos and /corporate-actions pages work, what each one lists, and how to open the per-ticker version of each.

Key takeaways

  • /earnings, /dividends and /insiders are news hubs that collect earnings releases, dividend announcements and Form 4 insider filings as they hit the wire.
  • Each hub has a per-ticker version at /earnings/<TICKER>, /dividends/<TICKER> and /insiders/<TICKER>.
  • /corporate-actions lists cash dividends, stock splits, reverse splits and spinoffs with ex-dates and payable dates.
  • /ipos groups companies by the year they went public, and /ipos/<YEAR> ranks that year's listings by market cap.

Quantisnow has five pages for scheduled and recurring company events: /earnings, /dividends, /insiders, /ipos and /corporate-actions. The first three are news hubs built from the wire. Corporate actions is a dated calendar. IPOs is a directory by listing year.

The earnings and dividends hubs are lists of announcements per ticker. They are not a structured calendar with consensus estimates.

Earnings: /earnings

/earnings has two parts:

  • Companies reporting recently: chips for up to 24 tickers with the most recent earnings items, each with a count. Click one to open /earnings/<TICKER>.
  • Latest earnings on the wire: the newest earnings releases across all companies.

/earnings/<TICKER> (for example /earnings/MSFT) shows that company's earnings releases in reverse date order. To learn what to look for in a release, read How to read an earnings report and Earnings season calendar.

Dividends: /dividends

/dividends shows Companies recently paying dividends and Latest dividend items. /dividends/<TICKER> shows the company's dividend history as it appeared on the wire.

For the exact ex-dividend and payable dates, use /corporate-actions (below). Dividend dates explained covers what each date means.

Insider trading: /insiders

/insiders collects Form 4 filings: buys, sells and option exercises by officers, directors and 10% owners. It shows Companies with the most recent insider activity and Latest insider transactions on the wire.

/insiders/<TICKER> lists every Form 4 for one company. If you only care about purchases, use /top/insider-purchases (see Top lists). Background reading: Form 4 insider trading explained and How to track insider buying.

Corporate actions: /corporate-actions

/corporate-actions is a dated calendar across U.S. markets. Without a ticker it covers the last 14 days and the next 60 days, with these sections:

SectionContents
Upcoming dividendsCash dividends with ex-date, payable date and amount
Stock splitsForward and reverse splits
SpinoffsSpinoff events
Recent dividends (past)Dividends whose ex-date has passed

Counters at the top show Upcoming, Dividends, Splits and Spinoffs.

How to see corporate actions for one ticker

  1. Open /corporate-actions?ticker=<TICKER>, for example /corporate-actions?ticker=KO.
  2. The page switches to that company and covers the past year and the next year.
  3. Click View TICKER to go back to the company page.

The company page also shows a short Corporate events block. See Company pages and Stock splits and corporate actions.

IPOs: /ipos

/ipos lists every IPO year Quantisnow has companies for. Click a year to open /ipos/<YEAR> (for example /ipos/2021), which ranks up to 250 companies that went public that year by market cap. Each row links to the company page.

This is a directory of listed companies by IPO year, not a forward calendar of upcoming deals. To follow new deals as they are filed, watch S-1 filings in the SEC feed. See Form S-1 and IPO filings and The IPO lifecycle.

Data timing

The news hubs follow the site's feed timing: a 3-minute delay for free and signed-out visitors and real time on Plus. To be alerted when a followed company reports earnings, declares a dividend or files a Form 4, set alert rules on /follows. See Alerts.
